Client: Placerdome. Location: Papua New Guinea. Delivered By: pimedia (as a part of a larger multi-vendor international team). Client Profile: Placerdome is an international mining company with operations in several continents. Social Challenge: Placerdome was in the process of shutting down a mine in PNG. A small mining community was about to lose its livelihoods. Our Assistance: We helped identify and train local miners to take on other income generating activities such as farming.
